Getting your resources ready

To start with we need to create a new subtitle file. Select File > New

start new file

Then connect a preview movie file to use to create the subtitle file with.

Browse for the file that you want to subtitle. Then click OK.

Set the preferences. Select File > Preferences

Under the Load Tab,  if you are working with PAL video set the frame rate to 25 fps. And normally the first encoding should be UTF-8.

Under the Save Tab, make sure to select Format : SubRip *.srt and Encoding : UTF-8 as

Click OK License : General Public License
